Arctis Nova 5X Gaming Headset Analysis
Wireless options for mixed use
The 2.4GHz and Bluetooth modes serve different parts of a gaming routine: use the gaming connection for play, then switch to Bluetooth for a call or mobile media.
Incoming-call beeps can alert you while you stay in a game, and the on-headset Quick-Switch button makes that transition readily accessible.
Battery life and charging
A 60-hour battery life can suit players who would rather charge less often. Fast charging adds 6 hours of use in 15 minutes, which can help when the headset needs a quick top-up before a session.
Preset control versus tuning
The companion app provides more than 100 presets for named games, which gives players a starting point for tailoring sound by title.
This approach is most appealing if you prefer selecting a game profile to creating settings from scratch.
Microphone and physical controls
The retractable ClearCast microphone can be stowed when voice chat is not in use.
Power, mute, volume, ChatMix and Quick-Switch controls are built into the headset, making quick game and audio adjustments possible without reaching for a separate control surface.
