The Sport Gallery
FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY FROM SPORTS' GOLDEN ERA | Limited Edition Prints | Original Artwork | Vintage-Inspired Sports Apparel, Accessories, Books, and Gifts!
The SPORT Gallery is dedicated to shedding light on the developed but widely under-appreciated art of sports photography. The emphasis is on sports photos that convey the rich history and tradition, as well as the elemental artistry, of sport. The Sport Gallery brings to life the greatest sport moments and personalities of past and present in our unique collection of classic sports photographs. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the previously distinct worlds of high-end sports memorabilia and fine art photography.
Fine Art Prints
Our photographs are derived from the SPORT Collection, anchored by the SPORT Magazine Photographic Archive. SPORT was the first general-interest sports magazine, first published in 1946. In its early years, SPORT had the market for magazine-style sports journalism virtually to itself and, under founding editor Ernest Heyn, pioneered a brand of behind-the-scenes glimpses of the heroes of the day not previously attempted. The emphasis was not on the games or the teams, but on the elements of human drama that lay beneath. SPORT was an icon in the league of Life and Look and the Saturday Evening Post.
Apparel, Accessories, and Gifts
The SPORT Gallery also carries a curated selection of unique apparel and accessory brands from across the world. The brands we carry mirror both the era and quality of SPORT magazine. These brands include Tokens & Icons, the creator of high-end accessories (cuff links, wallets, bottle openers) made out of authenticated game-used materials including Toronto Blue Jays baseballs and Vancouver Canucks hockey pucks; Ebbets Field Flannels, the authentic reproduction manufacturer of classic minor league teams; Mitchell & Ness, Red Jacket, and No Mas.
