The Granville Island Stage is one of the venues for the acclaimed Arts Club Theatre Company, a not-for-profit professional theatre institution.
Annually, a quarter of a million people experience the Arts Club at the scenic 450-seat theatre, as well as their Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage, and on tour.
Founded in 1958 as a private club for artists, they officially became the Arts Club Theatre in 1964, and built the Granville Island Stage in 1979. Executive Director Howard Jang says,
